Drones to data

Orenda Hemp has embraced the latest in drone technology and software to map and monitor its hemp crops, combining its Parrot Disco with Pix4D.

A member of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, Orenda is using drones and precision software to monitor its hemp crops in Southern Virginia. Daily drone flights gather comprehensive data at every stage, from cultivation through to harvest.

Data on crop health and productivity is being collected and mapped in real time. Drone software integrates with our agricultural management system, providing fast insights and analysis that allows for responsive decision making in the field. Maps and data can be easily shared with stakeholders across devices.

With multiple hemp varieties being trialed, this precision technology is invaluable for determining crop quality, health and yield rate. It underpins an enhanced agricultural workflow, optimizing time and cost efficiencies.
